Dear Professor Pfeiffer:
I wonder whether you and Mrs. Pfeiffer are already
back in the States. I trust that your visit in Europe and lecturing
at the Rome University brought both of you a great satisfaction.
The June issue of Harpers Magazine carried a
debate between me and Professor J. Q. Stewart. Princeton astronomer.
The readers are the judges. I have saved a copy for you and shall
mail it to you when in New York. My Ages in Chaos is in galleys
(since February). The publication date of the first volume (Doubleday
decided to divide) is in November, of the second about sixty days
later: enough time for the readers to finish the reading of the first.
With
cordial regards to you
and Mrs. Pfeiffer, also frommy wife
Sincerely yours,
Immanuel Velikovsky
